RMTC-D/HH provides professional learning opportunities to school district personnel, including teachers of the deaf and other professionals working with students who are deaf/hard of hearing based on state initiatives, needs assessment, and by school or district request. Opportunities may be provided through face-to-face opportunities, as well as through online learning modules, webinars, or virtual meetings and presentations.

If you wish to earn in-service credits towards the renewal of a Florida Educator’s Certificate, it is recommended that you contact your school district’s professional development office BEFORE beginning a course or training to verify the requirements you must fulfill. RMTC-D/HH does NOT provide CEUs.

Listening and Spoken Language Strategies: Thinking Outside the [Theme] Box with RMTC and UCF Listening Center Feb 1-2 in Orla

What?

RMTC-DHH is excited to offer Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) Strategies: Thinking Outside the [Theme] Box on February 1-2, 2024, face-to-face in Orlando, Florida. This professional learning opportunity is a collaboration between RMTC-DHH and the University of Central Florida (UCF) Listening Center. This two-day collaborative event will include hands-on activities where the participants will leave with tools and resources that can be implemented in their instructional practice the following workday.

Hotel accommodations will be provided upon request if outside the state required mileage. If you require a hotel accommodation, please understand that you may have to share a room with another participant.

Registration for this event is limited to two participants per Florida school district. It is suggested that a team of a TODHH and SLP working with students who are deaf/hard of hearing (DHH) attend together. If more than two participants would like to attend, please fill out this form to be added to the waitlist.
