See the Sound Visual Phonics with RMTC with ICLI's logo

RMTC-D/HH is pleased to announce training in this evidence-based supplementary intervention for professionals currently working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in the state of Florida. Participants will learn the 52 sounds of the English language and how to represent them visually via hand movements and symbols. This training will provide methods for implementing the use of See the Sound - Visual Phonics in the classroom as well as progress monitoring tools for tracking student progress in phonemic awareness, phonics, and decoding words. Visual Phonics is not an additional curriculum but is a strategy that can be integrated into existing phonics-based curricula or interventions.

RMTC-D/HH offers two options for the Visual Phonics training,

  1. asynchronous, where the participant can choose their preferred time during the week to work online to meet weekly deadlines, and
  2. live, where the participant will meet either face-to-face or virtually to learn the Visual Phonics intervention.
