Working With the Experts: D/HH – Fairview Learning

The Resource Materials and Technology Center for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is pleased to announce registration is now open for “Fairview Learning” presented by Patricia Vierra.
The Fairview Learning reading program, designed specifically for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, reflects years of collaboration among educators of the deaf and utilizes best practices. Fairview’s unique research based program provides individuals the literacy tools to construct mental, linguistic frameworks.
The first in a series of three professional development opportunities and will be held on January 13-14, 2018 in Orlando.

The principles and techniques of Fairview Learning will be presented in six-days and three workshops which span over the current school year and culminating in the Winter of 2018.
RMTC-D/HH has a limited number of spots for participants and will provide training and ongoing coaching support. Participants will be selected via a short application process and by the ability to commit to program requirements.
If selected, participants will receive:
- Complimentary hotel*
- Training in the intervention
- Coaching follow-up sessions via video
- Basic Teacher Materials
- Online subscription for 6 months for the 2017-2018 School Year
- Renewal of online subscription for 2018-2019**
*Double-occupancy and over 50 miles one-way
