The purpose of this course is to learn how to perform a Functional Listening Evaluation (FLE) for a student with a hearing loss who is in an educational setting. This online module uses an asynchronous learning platform, which means that at any point you can leave and return to the course with your information saved. There is also no time limit or due date.

The course includes seven sections, including: Introduction, Preparing for Testing, Performing the FLE, Scoring and Interpretation, Case Studies, Resources, and Follow-Up Activity

Sections 1-4: You will find 10 quiz questions randomly placed throughout the section. If you answer a quiz question correctly, it will let you move on to the next question or section. If you answer a question incorrectly, you will need to reattempt that question before you can move on. You have 10 attempts per question. If you are not sure of the answer to a question, you can navigate back into the section to look at the content again.  

Section 5, Case Studies: You will have three different case studies, each with quiz questions.

Section 6, Resources: This section has no new content or quiz. This section contains lists and links to the various resources listed throughout the course, as well as some additional ones. All of these resources can be accessed at any time via our website at: rmtcdhh.org.

Section 7: The final section is where you will find information on the follow-up activity. You must answer all quiz questions from sections 1-5 with 100% accuracy and complete the Follow-Up Activity to earn a Certificate of Completion.
